THIS month’s exhibition at the Arthouse opened last weekend. Children’s Impressions is an exhibition of work by the children of Corrig Kids Playschool in aid of Chernobyl Children International.

The exhibition will be officially launched by Cóilín Rush, Artist in Residence at the Arthouse, at 12pm with a guest speaker from Chernobyl Children International. There will be face painting and entertainment on the day for the children. This exhibition is a collection of art work rendered by the children in Corrig Kids Playschool. The collection of work is so vibrant and thought provoking that organisers decided to exhibit it. There are 55 reproduced pieces of art work. They can be used as placemats or framed easily. The Stradbally/Portarlington Chernobyl Outreach Group was founded in 1996 under the organisation Chernobyl Children International (Adi Roache). The aim of the group over the years has been to bring children from Belarus for a months rest and recrouperation. For more information contact the Arthouse at 057 86 41740.
