MEMBERS of the photographic community in Laois and throughout Ireland were treated to a visual feast of photography when award winning landscape and travel photographer David Noton brought his roadshow to The Dunamaise recently.

Amateur and professional photographers from all corners of Ireland were in attendance at a packed theatre to hear David talk about his photographic adventures spanning 27 years. His passion for the art was evident as he took them all on a whirlwind tour of the planet describing how he took the images presented to them many of which drew gasps of astonishment from the audience. The exhibition included images of landscapes, people and wildlife in a very professional presentation.

David not only exhibited his work but also provided a wealth of tips and information and fielded questions from the audience. At the interval he also took time to mingle with the audience and chat about the topic of photography. This was most definitely one of the major photographic highlights this year for the many who attended and was much enjoyed by all.

David has over 26 years’ experience as a professional under his belt. During his photographic career David has travelled to just about every corner of the Globe, with the exception of Antarctica – which apparently is on the list. David’s pictures are published all over the world and he also writes for a broad range of media including photographic magazines and websites and his work can be viewed at www.davidnoton.com. This event was organised by Midlands Photography Group.
