THE first exhibition of Jane W Shackleton’s photographs will take place in Mountmellick Library from July 26 and will run through the month of August.

The exhibition launch will take place on Thursday July 25 and will also include a slideshow with Jane’s original lantern slide projector and original slides dating from late 1800s

Jane Shackleton is considered Ireland’s most prominent Quaker photographer and is responsible for one of the largest collections of early (mid 1880s - early 1900s) photographs by a female photographer in Ireland.
