The event, which will feature free digital marketing advice clinics for local businesses and special guest speakers, will be held on Tuesday, November 26 from 5pm to 7pm at the Laois Education Centre, Block Road, Portlaoise.

The Get WebActivated event will showcase the talents of 40 jobseekers from Portlaoise and surrounding counties who have re-skilled through Digital Skills Academy’s WebActivate programme.

Through the programme, participants have already worked with a wide range of businesses providing them with website design, mobile websites, digital marketing guidance and improved SEO rankings.

Paul Dunne, CEO of Digital Skills Academy said digital is crucial for business.

“The WebActivate programme set out to increase the supply of marketing-orientated web publishers to support the needs of businesses in Portlaoise and the surrounding counties and so we would encourage businesses to come meet the talented panel of WebActivate graduates,” he said.
