In my opinion the little Fiesta is one of the most attractive small hatches around.
Now you can seat yourself in a new Fiesta from just €15,990.
For 2016 Ford also have some excellent value special offers and finance packages worth looking at.
Check out their website for more on these items. I want to see how this neat little car drives but the version on test this week is a bit different.
Its unique in that its a sporty looking edition in black with red accents and with some sporting technical modifications too. Its called thc.
The styling is simply gorgeous. This has to be one of the most attractive small cars on the market today. The neat body kit with rear spoiler, Panther Black body work, with red door mirrors, red accents to the front grille and a red roof. The black alloy wheels set off the whole look. I like it. Its funky.
The cabin of the Fiesta Black Edition is excellent and quite contemporary with sweeping lines and a definitely sporty overtone. The interior mirrors the two colourstyle of the exterior with black and red sports seats.
The red stitching on the seats looks particularly well and is carried through to the leather steering wheel and gearshift. It looks fantastic and will really appeal to the younger buyer.
The driving position is great and the level of standard equipment as we have come to expect from Ford is very good. I am not going to list everything here but in addition to all the now expected safety features such as ABS, ISOFIX, multiple airbags and so on, the Fiesta Black Edition boasts some very interesting technologies such as Active City Stop and Auto Start Stop.
It also comes with Ford SYNC, which allows smart phones to be connected via Bluetooth and then stream music from your phone to the cars speakers.
In addition SYNC automatically connects the cars occupants to the emergency services in the event of an accident.
The 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine is the real story of this car. The 1.0 litre petrol is a 3 cylinder engine with a power output of 125 PS. This new unit is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The cylinder block is so small it would fit on an A4 page! This engine boasts direct injection and is turbocharged and endows the Fiesta Black edition with real get up and go. Performance is excellent. This special edition model also has revised gear ratios and a sport suspension set up.
Over my road test it burned just 5.2 litres per 100km and proved to be a very lively yet frugal engine.
The Fiesta Black Edition offers a perfect blend of agile handling with excellent ride quality. With revised shock absorber and spring settings it proves rewarding to drive with agile sporty handling yet a ride that is not at all firm. Furthermore it proves nicely quiet and refined at all speeds.
In fact this is a great little car to drive,
Accommodation is good too with good room for four adults and a decent sized boot for a car in this class.
The Fiesta is in my opinion one of the very best small cars on the Irish market, bar none! This Fiesta Black Edition is a sporty, stylish and distinctive special edition model.
The 1.0 litre Ecoboost petrol engine is superb, offering excellent performance, lowest tax and emissions and its very frugal.
In terms of style, practicality and value the Fiesta Black Edition is a real winner, Iloved it!
The Fiesta Black edition costs from €21,800.
