Last week, St. Canice’s and Graignamanagh Credit Unions completed a transfer of engagements.
This is the fifth time in less than a year that St. Canice’s has successfully completed a transfer having already taken on Durrow, Ballyragget, Mountrath and Rathdowney Credit Unions.
The former Graignamanagh Credit Union will operate under the name of St. Canice’s and Graignamanagh members can rest assured that their local office will remain open and that they can continue to do business as usual.
As a result of the merger, Graignamanagh members will have access to the enhanced range of financial services that St. Canice’s has to offer including competitive loans and online payment services.
Also, members of both credit unions can enjoy the convenience of being able to do business in any of its eight branches located at High Street and MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre in Kilkenny in addition to the Ballyragget, Durrow, Dunnamaggin, Mountrath and Rathdowney offices and now also the office in Graignamanagh.
Speaking about the merger, Claire Lawton, CEO of St. Canice’s Credit Union who will continue to lead the combined organisation said,
“This is a positive move for both credit unions and it provides St. Canice’s with the ability to grow and at the same time offers stability and security.”
