The inaugural Laois GAA Fashion show enjoyed its official launch last Tuesday night, with all roads now leading to the Heritage Hotel on November 9.

It is the first time Laois GAA has dipped its toes into the world of fashion, with local shops putting some of their best wares on display at the event. Annie Apple, Erre Esse, Blossom Time Boutique, Born Cloting, Hat Hire Portlaoise, Bridal Shop Ballybrittas and Pat Kearns Menswear will togging out the models on the night, which will include Laois GAA players from both codes, as well as Laois Rose Niamh Bracken.

There will also be some childrens clothes on the catwalk too, provided by Krazy Kids, from Main Street, Portlaoise. Hair on the night will be styled by Redz, also from Portlaoise.

There will also be a variety of stalls on the night selling goods, while local bands are also due to take to the stage. There will also be a raffle on the night, with the top prize the use of a house in Spain for a week, with €200 towards the cost of flights, sponsored by Sally Gardens, Portlaoise.

Tickets are now on sale, priced at €20, with the event being organised by Michaela Fitzpatrick and Anne Duff, who are promising something for everyone. Tickets can be purchased from the Laois GAA offices, the participating shops, or at The Heritage Hotel. A surprise MC is also being promised on the night.
