Killeshin 0-14

Ballyroan Abbey 1-8

This was one of their finest moments as just three years after they lifted the junior title, they gave an exhibition of football and turned on the style to the delight of their huge following, and fully deserved their victory as they held off a late rally from Ballyroan Abbey.

It looked ominous enough for Killeshin at half time as they lost an early three point lead to go in at the break two points in arrears having enjoyed the advantage of the strong breeze blowing into the Town End. They proved in the second half that the wind rarely wins a game for any team, as they played magnificent football and rocked Ballyroan with their style of open attacking football.
