ACFL Division 1

O’Dempsey’s 4-8

Ballylinan 2-9

The hosts got off to a flyer inside the first twenty minutes with their goal spree but Ballylinan recovered well and could well have overturned O’Dempsey’s had they taken their chances as efficiently as their opponents.

It looked like it would be a routine win for O’Dempsey’s in that opening period as time and again they ripped through the Ballylinan defence and managed to carve out a nine point lead before the introduction of Podge Leonard allowed the visitors to steady the ship.
