Intermediate Hurling Championship

Mountrath 2-7

Clonaslee 0-10

Clonaslee welcomed back James Young and Glen McEvoy from suspension and the pair dominated midfield in the first half. It was largely due to this dominance that Clonaslee had worked their way into a well deserved 0-5 to 0-0 lead after fifteen minutes.

However Mountrath got the game’s opening goal to bring them right back into the game and five minutes from the half they added a second when James Hyland shot a low and hard free to the net and they lead by two at the break

It was nip and tuck in the second-half but Clonaslee could not get the goal they needed and Mountrath held on for the win.
