Laois edged through to the next round of the qualifiers with a two point win over Leitrim in Carrick on Shannon on Saturday evening.
Leitrim lead by as many as five points in the first-half but a timely goal from Conor Boyle just before the break got the visitors back in the game.
Leitrim lead 1-8 to 1-6 at the break but the home side only added three points in the second-half as Laois gradually took control of the game and eventually edged in front.
Laois did not put their hosts away however and there were a nervous final few minutes until the final whistle went for Laois to make ti three wins from three in the qualifiers.
