From the start Graiguecullen showed their intent for the game ahead as Colm Doran opened the scoring with a well taken point with just a minute on the clock. Graigue’s keen eye for goal was displayed just two minutes later as full-forward Jimmy Bolton struck past Aidan Walsh in the Ballylinan goals. Jason Kelly rounded off an impeccable start for Graiguecullen as he extended their lead to 1-2 to no score after just six minutes and going in the break Graiguecullen held a comprehensive 2-10 to 0-4 point lead.

Graiguecullen ran out comfortable sixteen point victors and he result also confirmed a disappointing day for Ballylinan as they were relegated, while Graiguecullen will await the outcome of Tuesday nights fixtures to learn their final position.
