Coughlan leaves Portlaoise to go back to home club

Portlaoise have been dealt a massive blow after it was confirmed that Hugh Coghlan has moved back to his home club, Moyne-Templetuohy in Tipperary. Coghlan won three Laois SFC titles in his time with Portlaoise after transferring down from St Vincent’s in Dublin back in September 2010, having previosuly won an All-Ireland club title with Vincent’s in 2008.

Coghlan won three Laois SFC titles in his time with Portlaoise after transferring down from St Vincent’s in Dublin back in September 2010, having previosuly won an All-Ireland club title with Vincent’s in 2008.

It’s a double blow for the club too as he also lined out with their senior hurlers, who are already without David O’Mahony, who transferred to Oranmore in Galway last month.

On the football scene, Laois defender Peter O’Leary aggravated a hamstring injury on Sunday when he was forced off after just 15 minutes of O’Dempsey’s ACFL Division 1 win over The Heath.
