Feile fever takes hold as fixtures announced

Laois will have four clubs competing in Division 1; Portarlington, St Paul’s, Portlaoise and Killeshin Gaels. Portarlington and St Paul’s are paired together in Group B, where they will play teams from Galway and Derry. Portlaoise and Killeshin Gaels are in Group C, facing up to Féile winners from Kerry and Kildare.

In Division 2, Laois will be represented by St Joseph’s-Barrowhouse, Sarsfields, Stradbally Parish Gaels and Graiguecullen. St Joseph’s-Barrowhouse and Sarsfields will take on teams from Mayo and Down, while there will be an international flavour for Stradbally and Graiguecullen as they take on New York, as well as a team from Limerick.

Division 3 will see Park-Ratheniska, Ballyroan Abbey, Naomh Eamann, Ballylinan Glenmore and O’Dempsey’s in action. Park-Ratheniska are grouped with Ballycumber-Tubber, along with Tipperary and Wexford teams. Ballyroan Abbey and Naomh Eamann face opposition from North London and Carlow. O’Dempsey’s and Ballylinan-Glenmore play Wicklow and Cavan teams.

The Heath, Clough-Ballacolla, Spink and St Fintan’s Gaels are all featuring in Division 4. The Heath will host Castledermot, Waterford and Longford, while Clough-Ballacolla meet Birr, South London and Louth. Spink and St Fintan’s Gaels face teams from Westmeath and Fermanagh.

In Division 5, Rosenallis, Camross, Clonaslee St Manman’s and St Fintan’s Mountrath will be in action. Rosenallis host DER Gaels and Hertfordshire along with a team from Clare. Liam O’Neill will officially open their new club grounds at the game with Hertfordshire. Camross face Gracefield, Leitrim and Warwichsire, while Clonaslee and Mountrath will welcome two international teams, Philadelphia and Yorkshire.

Division 6 sees two Laois teams lining out, with Sarsfields 2 played Birr 2, Derry 2 and Gloucestershire, while Portlaoise 2 face Castlemitchell and a Scotland Development Squad.

In the Ladies Football groups, Laois have three teams competing in Division 1. St Conleths meet Sarsfield of Kildare as well as teams from Clare and Mayo. Sarsfields from Mountmellick meet Tullamore and teams from Kerry and Kildare, whil Portlaoise play Kildangan-Nurney, Galway and Limerick.

Division 2 sees three more clubs representing Laois, as St Joseph’s face Meath, Wexford and Monasterevin, Ballyroan meet Rochfortbridge and teams from Dubline and Tyrone, while Graiguecullen welcome Cappagh, along with clubs from Monaghan and Cavan.

There are five teams in Division 3, where neighbours The Heath and Park-Ratheniska have been paired against each other, along with teams from Wicklow and Sligo. Ballyfin will meet Ballykelly, and clubs from Waterford and Westmeath. Borris-in-Ossory and St Paul’s are the other two Laois teams in the Division, and they will play against teams from Antrim and Carlow in Group D.

Division 4 has four clubs from Laois taking part. Mountrath meet Shamrock, a team from Derry and a team from San Francisco in Group B. Group C sees Ballylinan and Shanahoe face London and Louth teams, while Timahoe will play Suncroft, Warwickshire and the Leitrim qualifiers.
