Arles-Killeen’s miserable start to their ACFL Division 1 campaign continued on Sunday afternoon, as they fell to a five point defeat at the hands of O’Dempsey’s in this ill-tempered affair.

ACFL DIVISION 1

O’Dempsey’s 2-8

Arles-Killeen 0-9

O’Dempsey’s were full value for the win, as they played some open attractive football in the first half, but the game was played amidst a nasty backdrop. There was a litany of off-the-ball incidents and the only surprise was that just one player saw red; Arles-Killeen’s Dermot Julian. In truth, there could have been a few more from either side, as referee David Murphy struggled to keep control of the game.
