A wonderful afternoon of entertainment was had in the Laois final of the Community Games talent show was held in Mountmellick Arts Center on March 23rd last.

A wonderful afternoon of entertainment was had in the Laois final of the Community Games talent show was held in Mountmellick Arts Center on March 23rd last.

The new venue chosen for this year proved a big hit with competitiors and audience alike.A packed programme of events was reflected in the large attendance of supporters who were treated to a high standered of preformance from all entrants on the day.

Children recited, acted, sang ,played instruments and danced their way to the national finals to be held in Athlone IT at the end of May.
Kevin Lawlor Fitzpatrick (Open Door Raheen), Mick Morrisey (North Tipperary), Kathleen Hyland (Music Teacher Ballinakill), John Duffey (Emo) and David Delaney (Athy) aducitated over the course of the day selecting the winning entrants who will now represent Lais at national level.
To all areas who helped on the day, many thanks especially to the three ladies from Emo who worked hard to ensure the smooth running order of events well done to all.

To Jane Walsh County Secretary who co-ordinated the whole event, congratulations on a job well done.

To all the entrants including medal winners, thank you and good luck as you proceed to the national finals.To the parents who turned out their children so well on the day and turned up in such strong numbers to support them, a special thank you from the county committee.

We look forward to seeing you all preform in Athlone and thank you for your continued support.
