RTE pundits Michael Duignan and Brent Pope will take centre stage at a special night in Borris in Ossory on Thursday, January 16, celebrating positive living and the positive role sport can play.
The event is being hosted and organised by the Borris in Ossory Kilcotton GAA Club, but is open to the entire local community and members of any other local clubs. It will take place in St. Josephs NS Borris in Ossory and commences at 7.30pm.
The night will follow a relaxed and engaging format with MC Damien Lawlor from the Sunday Indpendent teasing out an array of interesting conversation topics from the two celebrity pundits and former sports stars.
They will be joined on the night by Colin Regan, GAA Community & Health Manager, and Susan Kenny, of the National Office for Suicide Prevention. The discussion forum will also allow for much interaction from the audience and a large crowd is expected.
The event is designed to help promote a culture of positive mental health both in the club and the wider local community.
The club’s new ASAP policy will be launched on the night, which is another of the club’s efforts to ensure that everyone who passes through it benefits from a positive health experience.
It will take place in in St. Josephs NS Borris in Ossory on Thursday, January 16th, at 7.30pm, and admission is free.
