Laois SHC Round 1

The Harps 1-24

Borris-Kilcotton 0-12

After a mixed bag from the Durrow outfit during the league, they were bang in form here as they simply overwhelmed Borris-Kilcotton in the second half. Just a point separated the teams at half time, but The Harps cut loose in the second period, scoring at their ease and leaving Borris-Kilcotton with a mountain of work to do if they are to bounce back from this.

At times in that second half it looked like John Taylor’s side had one or two extra men on the field, such was the ease with which they found space and took scores. Borris-Kilcotton aren’t a bad team, but on the basis of this display they are a team playing badly. They offered little resistance when The Harps started to move through the gears, and will have to really start to pick things up if they are to salvage anything from this year.
