Borris-Kilcotton maintained their fantastic unbeaten record at Intermediate grade this year with a four point victory over Rathdowney-Errill last Sunday morning in Durrow.

Laois IHC Round 1

Borris-Kilcotton 0-11

Rathdowney-Errill 0-7

Trailing by four points at half time, Borris-Kilcotton showed true pedigree to come from behind to win with a crop of players still eligible for U-21 next year leading the charge. Their league campaign saw them rack up eleven victories and a solitary draw en route to a final meeting with Mountrath which is yet to be played.

On the evidence of this remarkable form few would have bet against them leading up to this opening round of the championship, but it was in fact Rathdowney-Errill who started brightest.
