Gardai investigating break in at Portlaoise Educate Together

Gardaí are investigating a break-in at Portlaoise Educate Together National School at Summerhill.

The incident, which occurred sometime between 6pm on Tuesday evening, June 21 and 8am on Wednesday morning, June 22, is believed to have caused €6,000 worth of damage.

The raiders entered the building through a timber panel where extension works are taking place.

Electrical cable was taken from a plant room on the premises.

Gardai are appealing for information, and the contact is Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 86 74100.
