Laois is on a winning streak with two major lotto wins within the space of a few days.
Portarlington and Portlaoise recorded major wins over the past week, with the whopping €24m Euromillions sold in O'Hanlon's Spar, at Station Road, Portarlington last Friday evening.
And just the previous Wednesday, a €500,000 winning ticket in the Lotto Plus One was sold in Tesco Portlaoise.
A syndicate of Dublin Bus drivers scooped the €24m Euromillions jackpot which was sold in Portarlington.
The 22-member syndicate will receive €1m each from the win, which they have not collected to date.
Speculation is rife in Portarlington and Portlaoise as to the identity of the ticket buyers.
