Two Mountmellick men had driving disqualifications imposed on them in their absence at Portlaoise District Court last week.
Patrick Ryan (28), College Avenue, Mountmellick was charged with driving without a driving licence and no insurance at Lord Edward Street on January 8 last. He had previous road traffic convictions.
Along with a driving disqualification of four years, he was fined a total of €400.
Patrick Wilson, 38 Kirwan Park, Mountmellick was charged with no insurance on February 17 last at Kirwan Park.
The defendant, who had a previous conviction for no insurance, was fined €300 anddisqualified from driving for two years.
