A Ballyroan couple have been granted permission to seek a judicial review of the repossession of their home.
The case was heard in the High Court on Monday and reported on by the Irish Times.
Geraldine and Martin Grant, Ballyroan have contended that their rights under European law were breached.
According to the Irish Times report, they claim the County Laois registrar failed to consider whether their mortgage contract with Pepper Finance Corporation was fair when granting a repossession order earlier this year.
The couple, who are both on disability pensions, have lived at the family home for over 28 years.
