The weather was good for all the athletes competing and all the parents, spectators, and organisers who done a great job to make sure everything ran smoothly. We would like to thank St Abban’s AC to allow us the use of their wonderful facilties.

Dan Mulhare presented the medals to all the winning athletes, and encouraged and congratulated them on their achievement. It was great to see Dan there. Dan competed for St. Mary’s Portlaoise at Juvenile level in Area, County at National Finals in Mosney. Congratulations and well done to Killenard for winning the best turned out Area in the Parade. Emo-Rath won the Mick Byrne Shield for the best Area of the day for the competion - 1st Emo-Rath 65.5pts; 2nd - Killenard 40pts; 3rd - Portarllington 39pts.

This event would not take place but for the wonderful dedication of all the Area’s members and the County Members who put in great work to make sure Laois is well represented at the National Finals. Jane Walsh and Gilli Walsh Kemmis did a great job in co-ordinating the event.
