It was a busy weekend on the underage front. Kestrels U-10 Boys showed a huge improvement since their last tournament when they played against Portlaoise and Castlecomer on Sunday in St Marys Hall.

Two sets of brothers, Alex and Finn Craig and Aaron and Evan Holden, proved a force to be reckoned with, displaying some super defence.

Joseph Walsh and Roy Lawlor kept Kestrels on the scoreboard with some great shooting. Cameron Hoey, Finn Bagnall and Charlie Hann showed great potential with accurate passing and great ball control while Bobby Tracey and Cian Byrne worked hard securing defensive rebounds. Well done to all three teams involved.

The U-10 Girls had a great weekend also and played really well and Coach Louise Foster is really impressed with their progress.

The U-16 Boys had two big wins over the weekend in Colaiste Iosagain beating Portlaoise 69-32 and Longford by 72-56.

The U-16 Girls battled hard but went down to Portlaoise in Carlow on Saturday.
