The finals of the County Community Games U-14 Mixed Table Quiz took place last Thursday night in O’Dempsey’s clubhouse in Killenard.

The winners in a close fought contest were the St Paul’s Portlaoise team of Ronan Corr, Christopher Carew, Katy White and Brian Sheehy on 72 points.

In seconnd place on 70 points was the Emo-Rath team of Will Boland, Jake Doyle, Cian Doyle and Sean Flynn. Third place on 69 points was the Clonaslee-Rosenallis team of Patrick Hyland, Gary Kelly, Mary Conway and Shay Foynes.

It was very close with only seven points between first and sixth team, a total of 19 teams competed. We would like to thank all Committee Members who helped out on the night, also thanks to O’Dempsey’s GAA for providing the venue and for Killenard Area for hosting the Quiz.

A great night was had by all present and great excitement, which can be seen by the final result - only two points separating St Paul’s Portlaoise and Emo-Rath and one point separating Emo-Rath and Clonaslee-Rosenallis for second and third place.

Congratulations and well done to all the competitors.
