The Irish Childhood Bereavement Network (ICBN) is to host a meeting in Portlaoise, on the subject of supporting children bereaved by suicide.
The event will take place at the Killeshin Hotel, on September 8, between 10am - 1pm.
Colette Lynskey, counselling co-ordinator with Console and Siobhán Walsh, children’s counsellor with Console will both deliver talks on the day. There will also be an introduction to the ICBN by national co-ordinator, Nicola Jordan, and a networking opportunity to meet others working locally and discuss current topics of interest.
The ICBN is a hub for those working with bereaved children, young people and their families. It is a membership organisation comprising in excess of ten national organisations and more than 40 individual practitioners who are either professionals working directly with bereaved children, those who occasionally support them and people interested in the area.
