Social dancing for fun with Maureen Culleton will resume on Thursday afternoon January 29 and will continue each Thursday in St Canice’s Hall, Borris in Ossory from 2.30pm-4pm. All are welcome.

SENIOR CITIZENS PARTY
The annual parish Senior Citizens Party, organised by Borris-In-Ossory Social Services will be held on Sunday February 15 in the PE Hall at St Joseph’s National School, Borris-In-Ossory. The party will start at 12.30pm with lunch being served at 1 o’clock and this will be followed by music, song and dance. All Senior Citizens in the parish are invited to this party.
It is hoped to undertake a project in St Cronan’s Workshop, Roscrea re-cycling Christmas cards for next year. Anyone wishing to donate their old Christmas cards should leave them into Tony’s Foodstore, Main Street Borris in Ossory.

Borris in Ossory ICA guild is starting a course of armchair Pilates on this Wednesday January 21 in St Canice’s Hall. Due to inclement weather conditions, the class did not start last Wednesday night, The classes will run for six weeks and will start at 8pm each night. Anyone interested in taking part should contact any ICA member.

Evening mass will be celebrated in St Molua’s Church, Ballaghmore at 7.30pm every Saturday evening for the next six months.
A new publication is at completion stage and will be launched in March 2015.
This publication will cover all county finals in all grades for hurling and football including all Underage finals, since the start of the GAA in Laois and has a chapter on Club and Railway Cup and Inter County Games.
It is also hoped to have a chapter each on camogie and ladies footbal.
It will have all the team listings of finalists in all competitions including their correct Christian names.
It will be a must for GAA clubs and historians alike and it will be a very limited numer so please watch out for the launch night to be sure of your copy.
