‘Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ takes place this Thursday September 18, and Laois are being asked to take out the best china and join in.
In it’s 22nd year, Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning is the annual main fundraiser for local hospices all throughout Ireland, supported by Bewleys.
All money raised locally stays in that county, and Laois Hospice is asking people to support it, by hosting a coffee morning or even evening, at work, at home or in local organisations, with a donation collected for each cup of coffee enjoyed.
Seamus O’Donoghue, Chairman of Laois Hospice Foundation, says there is an increase in numbers seeking their help.
“We in Laois Hospice are reliant on our community to help maintain and expand hospice services in Laois. The numbers are increasing and we are determined to be there for as many people as possible and with your support, we can ensure that they are not effected by any government cutbacks,” he said.
“By hosting a coffee morning or making a contribution you will play a vital role in efforts to bring comfort and dignity to people at end of life,” Mr O’Donoghue added.
Laois Hospice Foundation is a voluntary organisation who depend on public fundraisers to deliver home care.
“It’s thanks to the generosity of the people of Laois that hospice services will continue to be delivered to individuals and families” Mr O’Donoghue said.
So on Thursday September 18, put the kettle on, get the biccies out and be part of Irelands Biggest Coffee morning.
