All the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood awards ceremony returns to the Heritage Hotel, Killenard for the tenth year in a row next month.

The 10th annual Charity Gala Ball will take place on Friday, February 27 at 7pm in the Heritage Golf and Spa resort, Killenard.

Proceeds from this year’s ball will go to the Laois Hospice.

With this year’s theme of ‘Diamonds and Tiaras’, it is sure the be one of the most glamorous night the Heritage Hotel has seen since last year’s charity ball.

“So far we’ve sold over 300 tickets, which we are absolutely delighted about,” Marie Corcoran said.

“We’re aiming for 400 tickets now,” she said.

As usual the Keith McDonald showband will have the toes tapping and the disco will ensure people are bopping to the wee small hours of the morning.

“It’s always a great night, and we’re hoping this year is no different. So many people tell us that they make it a special night out in their calendar and get their nails done or a tan for the night,” Colette Kennedy added.

“Everyone knows someone who has needed Laois Hospice, so we’re working very hard to make sure the night is a big success for them - they need every penny.”

To date, Marie, Colette and Maria Molloy have raised in excess of €200,000 for a range of different charities including the Cuisle Centre, Portlaoise Paediatric Unit, St Vincent’s Hospital Mountmellick, LOFFA, Portarlington Boys Scouts and Portarlington Special Olympics Club.

“As usual we will be rolling out the red carpet for everyone and there will be all the glitz and glam,” Marie said.

As always, the three ladies are very grateful to everyone who supports them on the night.

Tickets are €50 each, which includes a four course meal and free wine with the meals. Doors open at 7pm.
