Cake & coffee for Chernobyl trip

Orlagh Mahon , Michelle Fitzpatrick and Frank Smith ( pictured ) from the Chernobyl Children International ( Portarlington / Stradbally ) Group, will travel to Belarus on 26th October. They will work as part of the Medical Team at Vesnova Orphanage which is 120 miles from the Chernobyl Reactor and in the contaminated zone. A fund-raising Coffee morning was held in The Anvil Inn Portarlington on Thursday 16th October. Cakes and buns were baked by Transition Year students of Colaiste Iosagain with teacher Ceire Hogan.
