WELL DONE ERIN
Congratulations to Erin Dollard and Maynooth University Choir who have just beaten competition from around the world to become the first Irish choir to lift the coveted Pavarotti Trophy as choir of the world at the Llangollen International musical Eisteddfod in Wales. An outstanding achievement for the girl from Kilcotton and the Maynooth choir and conductor Mr Michael Dawson. Erin is a past member of the Irish Youth choir and Leipzig University choir Germany where she specialised in German song. While studding at Maynooth she joined the University chamber choir. The choir has afforded her the opportunity to sing at venues such as the Metropolitan club New York, Leighton Concert Hall Notre Dame and the International choral festival Malaga. She has also performed for the Governor and Mayor of New York with the choir. Well done to Erin and fellow members of the choir. Erin is daughter of Billy and Majella Dollard, Kilcotton, Borris-in-Ossory.
