Made off without payment four times

A woman with addresses in Stradbally, Tullamore and Portarlington was last week charged with making off from filling stations without paying for petrol on four separate occasions.

A woman with addresses in Stradbally, Tullamore and Portarlington was last week charged with making off from filling stations without paying for petrol on four separate occasions.

Nora McDonagh, 4 Woodlawn Park, Portarlington, and formerly 1 The Green, Stradbally, and Clonmore, Tullamore, made off without payment from Cappinour Filling Station, Tullamore, on June 16/25/30, 2011.

She also made off without payment from Heffernan’s Filling Station, Tullamore, on June 10, 2011.

Inspector Aidan Farrelly gave evidence to Portlaoise District Court that McDonagh filled up her car and made off owing €20 on June 10, €10 on June 25, and €15 on June 30.

McDonagh was also charged with having no insurance, at Greenmill Lane, Portlaoise, on August 20, 2011.

Judge Catherine Staines put the matter back to November 6 for a probation report, and ordered McDonagh to pay €55 compensation.

McDonagh must also produce her insurance certificate on that date.
