STUDENTS from St Fergal’s College in Rathdowney were happy and relieved to receive their Leaving Cert results after a nailbiting couple of months waiting and speculating.
School principal Aine O’ Neill told the Leinster Express that students “did exceptionally well, they got very good results”. She said that many did better than they were expecting, and the school was happy with the new system for maths. “We were very happy with the maths results, all who did higher level got their honour across the board”.
About 95% of the students from St Fergal’s are hoping to go to college this September, with a number of people completing PLC courses beforehand. Ms O’ Neill complimented the teachers on their hard work and dedication throughout the year and congratulated both the teachers and students on their “excellent results”.
