A Portarlington man said the reason he did not provide a specimen to the gardaí was because he did not have any urine left to give.

“I wasn’t in the right state of mind at the time,” Mark Smyth, 9 Kilmalogue Park, told the court.

Judge Staines adjourned the case to November 14, for him to get a solicitor.
