Laois County Council will not put chicanes into Tommy Murphy Park in Graiguecullen, as it is in the ownership of Carlow Local Authorities, area engineer, Orla Barrett explained to councillors

“They have been dealing directly with the residents of Tommy Murphy Park on this and other issues,” she said.

Pointing out that Laois County Council owned 14 houses in the estate, Cllr Padraig Fleming had asked for the chicanes, in the interests of public safety.
