A Rosenallis man convicted of drunkenly abusing his elderly father made a charitable donation at last week’s court.

A Rosenallis man convicted of drunkenly abusing his elderly father made a charitable donation at last week’s court.

Eljay Shelly was convicted in June of being intoxicated, and using threatening or abusive behaviour. The offences were committed in Rosenallis on October 2 last.

The case was adjourned in June for him to pay €150 to the Jack and Jill Foundation.

Last week at the district court, Shelly handed in the €150 and Judge Paul Kelly dismissed the charge under the probation act.
