Septic tank registrations double

THE LGMA (Local Government Management Agency) confirmed to the ‘Leinster Express’ yesterday that registration of septic tanks in county Laois has doubled in the past week.

THE LGMA (Local Government Management Agency) confirmed to the ‘Leinster Express’ yesterday that registration of septic tanks in county Laois has doubled in the past week.

There are now 1,437 septic tanks registered, compared with 718 last week. Those unregistered before Friday’s September 28 deadline face a €50 charge istead of the current €5 registration fee.

Nationally, there are an additional 35,300 registration forms to be processed. People can pay on-line at www.protectourwater.ie ; or in person at Áras an Chontae, Portlaoise.
