Cllr Tom Mulhall is the latest elected representative to add his name to the growing opposition to the relocation of the Graiguecullen Rehab Care group to a commercial unit in a business park.

The proposal to relocate the Rehab Group from their current premises on the town’s Killeshin Road to a unit at the Shamrock Business Park has met with huge condemnation from the local community.

Various submissions have been made to Laois County Council from residents, as well as an application from Sean Fleming TD.

Now Cllr Tom Mulhall has added his voice, making a submission to the council which reads: “I wish to make representations on behalf the friends, relatives and supporters of Rehab Care clients, Graiguecullen, who have objected.”

A decision is due on the planning application from Laois County Council by February 20.
