Two Laois Church of Ireland churches celebrate anniversaries of their consecrations this week.

Two Laois Church of Ireland churches celebrate anniversaries of their consecrations this week.

On Thursday April 30 at 8pm, Killermogh Church, near Ballacolla, celebrates its 200th anniversary, consecrated in 1815.

Then on Saturday May 2, at 7pm it is the turn of St Michael & All Angels’ Church in Abbeyleix, which celebrates its 150th anniversary.

Right Reverend Michael Burrows, Bishop of Cashel, Ferns & Ossory is preacher at both. All are welcome, with a special invite to those who were baptised, confirmed or married in the churches.
