A Portlaoise man has been put on probation for nine months, having been convicted of drunkenly hassling people outside a pub.
Daniel Lawless, 5 Mountain Square View, Portlaoise, was highly intoxicated and stumbling around on Main Street, Portlaoise, on November 3 last year. Inspector Aidan Farrelly said he was “hassling customers” outside a pub.
Lawless had four previous convictions.
Judge Catherine Staines put him on nine months’ probation, and ordered him to continue attending the Ana Liffey Drug Project.
She warned Lawless that if he does not keep all his appointments, he will be brought back before the court.
