Fines were imposed at last week’s sitting of Portlaoise District Court against a man who drove without proper documentation.

Leo Zavialovas, with an address listed at 6 Colliers Lane, Kilminchy, Portlaoise, was charged with driving without a licence, driving without insurance, and no NCT.

The offences were committed at Colliers Lane on December 14 last year.

Zavialovas had no previous convictions.

For driving without a licence Judge Catherine Staines imposed a fine of €200; she imposed a fine of €300 for driving without insurance; and €150 for no NCT. Charges of failure to produce documents were struck out.
