Intimidation in Mountmellick

A request has been made to raise the height of a wall in Kirwan Park, Mountmellick by Cllr Paddy Bracken, to stop intimidation of a resident.

A request has been made to raise the height of a wall in Kirwan Park, Mountmellick by Cllr Paddy Bracken, to stop intimidation of a resident.

“There is fierce anti-social behaviour going on at that area, why can’t the wall be raised by a few blocks?” he asked. “Even if it was raised by two blocks. They are climbing in over the wall,” agreed Cllr Seamus McDonald.

The council are to install ‘anti-climb’ capping and will consider raising the height of the wall.
