Bridge fixed by end of year

The collapsed Kilcoke bridge in Ballybrophy will be repaired by the end of the year, promise Laois County Council, after Cllr Brendan Phelan called for urgent repairs.

The council will carry out a bridge inspection, plan works and then, “subject to water levels and funding, works will be carried out before the end of the year”.

“I am delighted with that,” said Cllr Phelan.
