There is flooding at the set-down area of Portlaoise Leisure Centre, according to Cllr Willie Aird, who is chairperson of the board.
“This came up during construction of the pool. It wasn’t properly addressed. It got worse since we added ramps. It is embarrassing when busloads of kids pull up and step off into water,” he said, supported by Cllr Jerry Lodge.
Laois County Council will investigate and seek to address it.
