Portlaoise College 3rd years, TYs, and Mr Mc Clearn, Ms Duggan and Mr Walsh, visited Edinburgh last month.

They visited the National Museum of Scotland, viewing animal sculptures, different cultures and even trains.

At the Edinburgh Dungeons the students learned about the importance of customer service.

Edinburgh Castle had a wealth of information, from jail cells, the great hall and the crown jewels. The group learned how the Castle is marketed all over the world, with 90 percent of customer being international tourists.

On Calton Hill they enjoyed breathtaking views of the city, while at the Scottish Parliament they witnessed a debate about the state of Scottish hospitals, something that is very relevant to Irish society today.

Everyone on the trip thoroughly enjoyed it.
