A CANNABIS factory has been uncovered by gardaí in Laois, with an estimated 40,000euros’ worth of the drug seized.
In a joint effort between Rathdowney and Abbeyleix gardaí, a search of private premises at Monamondra, Errill revealed 100 plants being cultivated in outhouse buildings, with lighting equipment and air fans employed.
One man, who is believed to be middled aged, has been arrested and a file is being prepared to go forward to the Director of Public Prosecutions, with gardaí anticipating no further arrests.
