A meeting will be held on this Thursday January 23 in the Anvil Inn in Portarlington, to try to form an organising committee for this year’s St Patrick’s Day parade.
The organisers of the meeting ask all local community groups, clubs, sporting groups and organisations etc. to send a representative to attend on their behalf. On the night efforts will be made to try to put together an organising committee to run the parade. It would be a real shame if there is no parade in 2014, say organisers.
The meeting begins at 8pm.
