Santa visited the children at Scoil Bhríde, Portlaoise, a few days before they finished up school for the Christmas holidays on Wednesday, December 17.
Santa arrived into the school yard on his sleigh and was greeted by over 700 pupils, teachers and parents who were eagerly waiting his arrival.
The visit was organised by Deirdre Delaney H.S.C.L. Co-ordinator at Scoil Bhríde and Jerry Fogarty of the Route 66 Fundraising Team.
The children were asked to make a small donation to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
Together with the Board of Management and Parent’s Council at total of €840 was raised by the school which is a tremendous achievement for all involved.
