County hall claims a long-running problems with the water to supply in a Graiguecullen could soon be sorted out.

Residents of the Springhill Court estate in Graiguecullen have been appealing Laois and Carlow local authorities to have their estate taken in charge for the past three years to deal with ongoing problems especially the water pressure.

“We are fairly close now,” said Director of Services Kieran Kehoe told a recent meeting meeting of Laois councillors.

Council planner Pat Delaney said a list of outstanding work has been sent to Carlow County Council, and once drawings and a CCTV report have been received back, it will progress to taking-in-charge. “Issues were raised with me about water pressure,” said Cllr Aidan Mullins.
